  • What is Push Notifications?

    Push Notifications is a new and secure way of receiving an alert for the following information –

    1. Financial transactions - fund transfers/add beneficiary/change limit/payment
    2. Service and Industry - fraud awareness and general advisory
    3. Product specific - important information/updates/changes on specific product
    4. Marketing - Product/Service Campaigns/Promotions Related

    When you enable Push Notifications in your OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app, you can easily see your transaction alerts in one "inbox". No need to scroll through many SMS from various senders/organisations to find your transaction alerts.

  • If I am using my OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app on more than one device, can I enable Push Notifications on all my devices?

    No. You can register for Push Notifications on only ONE device.

  • How do I enable Push Notifications on OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app?

    To enable Push Notifications, follow the steps below:

    Activation - Before Login

    1. Click on the Bell icon located on the upper right of the OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking login page.
    2. Click the "Enable" button to enable Push Notifications.
    3. Log in to your account using your Login ID and Password or via OneLook/OneTouch.
    4. Push Notification message will be sent to your device immediately to inform you that your Push Notification registration is successful.

    Activation - After Login

    1. Click on the Bell icon located on the upper right of the OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking Account Dashboard page.
    2. Click the "Okay, got it" button to enable Push Notifications.
    3. Push Notification message will be sent to your device immediately to inform you that your Push Notification registration is successful.

    Note:

    The Push Notifications feature can only be activated in ONE device.

  • What if I don't see the Bell icon in my OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app?

    The Push Notifications feature is available for download on the following platforms:

  • What if I have changed my mobile phone?

    You can re-register Push Notifications on a new device at any time. During registration on a new device, you will be prompted to migrate the Push Notifications service from the old device. Once migration is successful, the old device will be deactivated and the new device will be registered for Push Notifications.

  • What are the details that will be shown in your Push Notifications?

    The details shown will be: Transaction type, date and time of transaction, amount, recipient (if applicable), and the Bank's contact number.

  • What should I do if I receive a Push Notification for a transaction that I don't recognise or did not perform?

    Please call us immediately at +603 8317 5000 for assistance.

  • Can I receive Push Notifications overseas?

    Yes, you can receive Push Notifications while you are overseas; as long as your mobile device is connected to the Internet.

  • What happens if my phone is turned off or I do not have access to Internet connection?

    The Push Notifications for transaction alerts will still be sent to your inbox. You may view your unread messages by tapping on the Bell icon after you launch the OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app or after you log in to the OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app.
