  • What is debit card?

    Debit card is a payment instrument that allows you to withdraw cash and pay for goods and services, etc. All transaction amounts will be directly paid and debited from your selected OCBC Current or Savings account approved by us (Designated Account), whereby the account is required to be maintained with us and linked to your Debit Card/-i. If you close the Designated Account, your Debit Card/-i will be automatically cancelled or terminated.
  • What type of services are available by using Debit Card/-i?

    You can use your Debit Card/-i for the following:

    • ATM Cash Withdrawal
    • Retail Payment/Purchase
    • ATM fund transfers and bill payments
  • What are the debit card services available for me?

    You will be able to perform the following services via OCBC Internet Banking:

    • Activate new debit card*
    • Activate renewed debit card
    • Set or change card PIN*
    • Enable or disable overseas card use
    • Update daily limit
    • Report lost of debit card
    • Update threshold amount for SMS Transaction Alert

    *Services are also available in OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app.

  • How do I activate my new Debit Card/-i?

    OCBC Internet Banking

    For new/existing Internet Banking users, please log in to OCBC Internet Banking to continue.

    For non-Internet Banking users, please register for Internet Banking in order to activate your new Debit Card/-i online.

    1. Go to Customer service > Set PIN.
    2. Select 'Debit Card' from the drop down list and click 'Next'.
    3. Key in your new 6-digit PIN, confirm your new 6-digit PIN and click 'Next'.
    4. Key in the 6-digit OTP code and click 'Submit'.
    5. You have successfully set your PIN and your new Debit Card/-i is now auto activated.

    OCBC Mobile Banking

    1. Log in to your account via OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app.
    2. Tap on the top left Menu > Card Services > Set PIN.
    3. Select Debit Card/-i to set PIN.
    4. Key in your new 6-digit PIN, confirm your new 6-digit PIN and click 'Submit'.
    5. Key in the 6-digit OTP code and click 'Submit'.
    6. You have successfully set your PIN and your new Debit Card/-i is now auto activated.

  • How do I activate my renewed Debit Card/-i?

    OCBC Internet Banking

    For new/existing Internet Banking users, please log in to OCBC Internet Banking to continue.

    For non-Internet Banking users, please register for Internet Banking to activate your renewed Debit Card/-i online.

    1. Go to Customer service > Activate Card.
    2. Check the box of renewed debit card that you wish to activate.
    3. Key in card expiry date of renewed debit card and click 'Next'.
    4. Review all details and click 'Submit'.
    5. Your renewed debit card is now activated.

  • How do I set or change PIN for my Debit Card/-i?

    You can set or change your PIN for Debit Card/-i via OCBC Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

    OCBC Internet Banking

    1. Log in to your account via OCBC Internet Banking.
    2. Go to Customer service > Set PIN.
    3. Select the card type and click 'Next'.
    4. Key in and confirm your new 6-digit PIN.
    5. Click 'Next' to complete the request.

    OCBC Mobile Banking

    1. Log in to your account via OCBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app.
    2. Tap on the top left Menu > Card services > Set PIN.
    3. Select the card that you want to set/change PIN.
    4. Key in your new 6-digit PIN, confirm your new 6-digit PIN and click 'Submit'.
    5. Key in the 6-digit OTP code and click 'Submit'.

  • Can I update the daily limit for my Debit Card/-i?

    Yes, you can update the daily limit for your Debit Card/-i via OCBC Internet Banking.

    OCBC Internet Banking

    1. Log in to your account via OCBC Internet Banking.
    2. Go to Customer service > Update Transaction Limit.
    3. Select the following daily limit and click 'Next' to update.
      • Debit card purchases
      • Debit card contactless purchase
      • ATM cash withdrawals
      • ATM fund transfers

  • What can I do if my Debit Card/-i is lost/stolen?

    Kindly contact OCBC Bank at +603 8317 5000 for assistance to block your card.

    You may also block your card via OCBC Internet Banking.

    1. Log in to your account via OCBC Internet Banking.
    2. Go to Customer service > Report lost Debit Card.
    3. Choose your reason and click 'Next' to submit.
    4. Your Debit Card/-i will be blocked immediately upon submission.

  • Can I change the threshold amount of a SMS Transaction Alert for my Debit Card/-i?

    Yes, you can change the threshold amount via OCBC Internet Banking.

    1. Log in to your account via OCBC Internet Banking.
    2. Go to Customer service > Manage e-Alerts.
    3. Set alerts for your respective ATM transactions.
    4. Click 'Save changes'.
