e-Statements

Purpose of e-Statement and email e-Statement

E-Statement is an electronic version of your paper statement in Adobe PDF format that be retrieved through OCBC Online Banking. With e-Statement, you can conveniently store your OCBC Bank statements in softcopy so that it is easy to retrieve at any time. This also helps to reduce paper clutter and save time needed to sort through monthly paper statements.

Email e-Statement

Email e-Statement is a soft copy of your Account Statement or Credit Card that is delivered to your email address.

Default password for your email e-Statement in PDF format

On opening the PDF, you will be asked to enter a password. It consists of the last 4 characters or digits of your NRIC or passport number, followed by your date of birth in the format of DDMmmYY. The password is case-sensitive. For example, if your NRIC is 880808105111 and the date of birth is 08-08-1988, then your password will be 511108Aug88.

Note: If the password you key in does not work, try using last 4 characters of your old Malaysian IC number.

Change of e-Statement Password

Change through Online Banking:

  1. Login to Online Banking with your Login ID and Password
  2. Select "Customer Service" under the menu
  3. Select "Change e-Statement Password"
  4. You can change your e-statement password
  5. Select your option, and sign-up for e-Statement for your account/s by checking the boxes

Note: New password set is applicable for new statements received after today. All previous statements will still required your old password.

Cost of using e-Statement and email e-Statement

This is a free service available to all customers with OCBC Online Banking and with accounts eligible for e-Statement and email e-Statement.

Software needed to view e-Statement and email e-Statement

Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7.0 and above is required to view and print your e-Statements and email e-statements. This software is free and can be downloaded from http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Adobe Reader is very likely to be already installed on your PC or laptop, do check before you download and install.

Apply for e-Statement and email e-Statement

Apply through Online Banking :

  1. Login to Online Banking with your Login ID and Password
  2. Select "Your Accounts" under the menu
  3. Select "Manage e-Statements"
  4. You can choose to receive your e-Statements via "Online Banking" or "Online Banking and Email"
  5. Select your option, and sign-up for e-Statement for your account/s by checking the boxes

Note: Once you have opted in for e-Statement, you will not receive paper statement starting from the next statement date.. Your e-Statements will be stored in Online Banking for up to 1 years.

To revert to paper statement, simply uncheck the corresponding checkboxes.

Products that offer e-Statements and email e-Statements

e-Statement and email e-Statement is a free service. Currently, we are offering the e-Statement service for Current, Savings, Fixed Deposits, Loans, Unit Trust, Credit Cards & Wealth Report.

However, please note that accounts such as Banca and joint accounts are not eligible for e-Statements at the moment.

Processing time after opt-in to e-Statement

Your e-Statement is available for the immediate statement cycle if you make the selection before the statement print date. However, due to our batch processing, the statement may take up to 1 to 2 working days to be available for your viewing. You should also ensure that you subscribe to our eAlert notification through SMS and /email so that will be notified when your monthly statement is ready.

Revert to paper statement

Revert to paper statement through Online Banking :

  1. Login to Online Banking with your Login ID and Password
  2. Select "Your Accounts" under the menu
  3. Select "Manage e-Statements"
  4. Un-check the boxes for the corresponding account/s to revert to paper statement

Setting alerts for your monthly e-Statements and email e-Statements

You can set SMS/email alerts for the bank to notify you whenever your e-statement is available for viewing through Online Banking. In this way, you will always be alerted whenever your e-Statements for deposit and card accounts are ready for you to retrieve.

Set monthly alerts for your e-Statement through Online Banking.

  1. Login to Online Banking with your Login ID and Password
  2. Select "Customer Service" under the menu
  3. Select "Manage eAlerts"
  4. Expand "Update Account Details"
  5. Check the boxes corresponding to when your e-Statement is available for viewing to receive SMS and /or Email alert when your e-Statement is ready

Viewing your e-Statement

You can view your e-Statements after you've logged into Online Banking:

  1. Login to Online Banking with your Login ID and Password
  2. Select "Your Accounts" under the menu
  3. Select "View e-Statements"
  4. Select the account type and month for viewing

Receiving notification when your e-Statement is ready

If you subscribe to our e-Alert notification, you will be notified through SMS and /or email when your monthly e-Statement is ready.

Your e-Statement will be ready for viewing 1 to 2 working days after every statement cycle date.

What is the maximum number of records I can retrieve for my e-statement?

You may retrieve your statements up to 12 months for each product from the date you signed up for e-statement
