  • What is a DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy) for corporate collection?

    A DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy) is an industry initiative that allows corporates to receive funds from individuals and businesses without the need for the recipient’s bank account details; instead, DuitNow uses the recipient’s mobile number or Business Registration Number (BRN) as the DuitNow ID on a real-time basis. The use of the mobile number as the DuitNow ID is only applicable for Sole Proprietors and Partnerships. All business entities must use the BRN.

  • Can I register my BRN and/or mobile number with more than one bank?

    No, your DuitNow ID (BRN and/or mobile number) can only be registered with one bank at any given time. You may, at any time, opt to switch or transfer your DuitNow ID to your preferred bank via the selected bank’s internet/mobile banking.

  • When can I register my mobile number as DuitNow ID?

    You can register your mobile number(s) as DuitNow ID(s) via any of the following platforms:

    • OCBC Velocity (Business Internet Banking).
    • OCBC Malaysia Business Mobile Banking app.
    • Complete and submit the DuitNow Registration and Maintenance form at any of our OCBC Bank branches nationwide.
  • How many mobile numbers can I register with OCBC Bank?

    You can register multiple mobile numbers with OCBC Bank; this is provided your mobile numbers are in the Bank’s record.

    Please visit any of our OCBC Bank branches nationwide to obtain, complete and submit the “Business Account Update Form” if you wish to add, remove or update any of your mobile number(s). Alternatively, you can download the form from OCBC Velocity and submit it at the nearest OCBC Branch.

  • Can I register DuitNow ID with more than one account or vice versa?

    You can register multiple DuitNow IDs (BRN and/or mobile numbers) with a single account. However, you are not allowed to register a DuitNow ID with multiple accounts. Please see the examples below for clarity.

    You may register multiple DuitNow IDs with one account, e.g.:

    BRN: 1122333-A registered with OCBC account: 701-295555-5

    Mobile number: +60124455666 registered with OCBC account: 701-295555-5

    Mobile number: +60167778899 registered with OCBC account: 701-295555-5

    You may NOT register one DuitNow ID with multiple accounts, e.g.:

    BRN: 1122333-A registered with OCBC account 701-297777-7

    BRN: 1122333-A registered with OCBC account 701-296666-6

  • Can I change, deactivate or de-link my DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy) registered with OCBC Bank?

    Yes, you can change, deactivate, activate or de-link your DuitNow ID(s) registered with your OCBC Bank account(s) via OCBC Velocity (Business Internet Banking), OCBC Malaysia Business Mobile Banking app or over the counter at any OCBC Branch.

    If you prefer to switch your DuitNow ID (linked to an OCBC Bank account) to another bank’s account or vice versa, you may do so via the other bank’s internet banking platform. You will not be charged any DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy) registration or maintenance fees.

  • How do I de-register/de-link my account from DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy) service?

    To de-register/de-link from the DuitNow service via a Bank account(s), you may follow this step-by-step guide:

    (i) If you are using OCBC Velocity (Business Internet Banking) and/or OCBC Malaysia Business Mobile Banking app:

    For OCBC Velocity (Business Internet Banking):

    1. Log in to OCBC Velocity.
    2. Select “Manage DuitNow”.
    3. Click on the “De-link from DuitNow” hyperlink and select the DuitNow ID to de-register or de-link from your account.
    4. Check the “Terms & Conditions” checkbox and select "Submit".
    5. You will receive a notification (via SMS and/or email) upon successfully de-registering your DuitNow ID from your account.

    For OCBC Malaysia Business Mobile Banking app:

    1. Log in to “OCBC Malaysia Business Mobile Banking app”.
    2. Go to “Settings” menu.
    3. Select “Manage DuitNow”.
    4. Click on the “De-link from NAD” hyperlink and Check the “Terms & Conditions” checkbox and select “Submit’”.
    5. You will receive a notification (via SMS and/or email) upon successfully de-registering your DuitNow ID from your account.

    (ii) Alternatively, you can visit any OCBC Bank branch nationwide. But before doing so:

    1. First, download and print the DuitNow Registration and Maintenance Form here.
    2. Then, complete the form to “Delete” your DuitNow ID request.

    You may then submit the completed form at any OCBC Bank branch counter. You will receive a notification (via SMS and/or email) upon successfully de-registering your DuitNow ID.

  • How do I receive funds from an individual/company using DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy)?

    Once you have successfully registered a DuitNow ID with your business account, you can proceed to inform your payer to make the necessary payments to your business account via your DuitNow ID, instead of your bank account number or bank details.

  • How long does it take to receive funds made via DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy)?

    DuitNow Transfers are made on a real-time basis. You should receive the funds immediately when a payment is made and authorised online.

  • Will there be charges or fees payable for receiving funds through DuitNow Transfers?

    No, you will not be charged for receiving funds through a DuitNow Transfer.

  • Is there any cut-off time for DuitNow transactions?

    No, DuitNow transactions are available all the time, i.e., 24 hours a day all year round. The funds are received immediately.

    Note: Transactions performed after 9:45pm will be reflected on your statement as the next day’s transaction date.

  • Will I be notified whenever a DuitNow Transfer payment is received?

    You can sign up for eAlerts so that you/your company receives an email/SMS notification upon receiving payments via DuitNow Transfer.

    Alternatively, you can check your transaction history anytime, anywhere via the OCBC Malaysia Business Mobile Banking app or by logging into OCBC Velocity.

  • How can you identify payments received via DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy)?

    All incoming payment credits will be reflected on your bank statement with the appropriate narratives/descriptions of DuitNow Transfer (Pay to Proxy) as reference.

  • Can I collect foreign currency funds via DuitNow Transfer?

    No, DuitNow Transfers are applicable for the local Malaysia Ringgit (MYR) only.
