OCBC Malaysia wins top sustainable finance accolades
OCBC Malaysia, comprising OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad and its Islamic banking subsidiary, OCBC Al-Amin Bank Berhad, has further cemented its position as a leading sustainable finance partner, securing a series of prestigious regional and international accolades.
At the Asset Triple A Sustainable Infrastructure Finance Awards 2026, OCBC Malaysia clinched the Project Finance Deal of the Year for its pivotal role in the RM7.5 billion Murabaha term facility and US$1.7 billion offshore term loan facility for DayOne Data Centres, one of the largest digital infrastructure financing transactions in Malaysia’s history.
The Bank also won the Transition Fuel Deal of the Year for its role in the construction financing facility for the Pengerang Biorefinery, a joint venture between PETRONAS, Enilive S.p.A, and Euglena Co., Ltd, supporting the development of a new biorefinery project in Pengerang, Johor.
At the Banking & Finance Corporate & Investment Banking Awards 2025, the Bank was named Green Deal of the Year – Malaysia for its role in a landmark financing transaction involving Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), underscoring OCBC Malaysia’s commitment to advancing impactful green and transition financing initiatives for government-linked companies and investment entities.
Further demonstrating its market leadership in syndicated financing, OCBC Malaysia was named Syndicated Loan House of the Year – Malaysia at the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) Awards 2026. The accolade reflects the Bank’s strong league table standing and its proven ability to originate, structure and execute landmark syndicated financing transactions that support the Bank’s valued business partners’ evolving funding requirements.
In 2025, OCBC Malaysia also received the International Green Financing Bank of the Year – Malaysia award at the Banking & Finance Wholesale Banking Awards and the Sustainable Infrastructure Award – Malaysia at the ESG Business Awards for the third consecutive year, recognising the Bank’s strong leadership and track record in delivering innovative green and sustainable financing solutions across key sectors.
