OCBC Cycle KL 2026 set for Sunday, 28 June 2026

  • 01 Apr 2026

With Visit Malaysia 2026 in full swing, the city’s longest-running mass cycling event, OCBC Cycle Kuala Lumpur (OCBC Cycle KL), will return for its ninth edition on Sunday, 28 June 2026.

Under the theme #LetsGoCycle, participants will be flagged off in front of the beautifully rejuvenated Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad at Dataran Merdeka, as they embark on the longest city ride spanning 50 kilometres.  The ride is open to individuals aged 16 and above and caters to both professional and recreational riders.

The route showcases some of Kuala Lumpur’s most scenic and iconic landmarks, including the Petronas Twin Towers, Tugu Negara, Masjid Negara, as well as a ride past Menara OCBC, the headquarters of OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (OCBC Bank).

According to Mr Tan Chor Sen, CEO of OCBC Malaysia, OCBC Cycle KL 2026 remains a highlight for the local community.

“Over the past eight years, OCBC Cycle KL has grown into a celebration of community, health, and the vibrant spirit of Kuala Lumpur. As the country welcomes the world for Visit Malaysia 2026, we are honoured to support this national agenda by opening our streets to riders from around the globe to experience the beauty of our city in this unique way. At the same time, we are also promoting active lifestyles and strengthening connections across communities. We thank the authorities and our partners for their support in making this event a safe and memorable experience for everyone,” he said.

Registration for OCBC Cycle KL 2026 is now open at https://ocbccycle.my/ until 28 May 2026. Participants may register for the classic 50km and 25km individual ride categories, or join the 50km corporate category, known as The KL Mayor’s Ride, which is designed for teams of ten. Only road bikes, mountain bikes and folding bikes are permitted.

Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s Kids’ Push Bike category, OCBC Cycle KL 2026 will feature two distance options (150 metres and 200 metres) for young riders aged 3 to 9. The 200-metre ride is designed for children aged 6 to 9 and offers an option for those ready to take on a longer route.

Prizes will be awarded across three bicycle categories for adults — mountain, road, and folding bikes — for both men and women. All participants will receive a commemorative medal, a digital certificate, and exclusive goodies from event sponsors.

OCBC Cycle KL 2026 complements the popular weekly KL Car-Free Morning at Dataran DBKL, which encourages leisure cyclists and sporting enthusiasts to enjoy the city’s open streets in a safe and welcoming environment.

OCBC Cycle KL 2026 is proudly title sponsored by OCBC Malaysia, comprising OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad and its Islamic banking subsidiary, OCBC Al-Amin Bank Berhad. The event is organised by Multigreen Events Sdn Bhd and supported by KL City Hall (DBKL), the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF), and Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM).

Join us this June to pedal together towards a healthier, more connected, and vibrant Malaysia — a perfect tribute to the spirit of Visit Malaysia 2026. For details and registration, please visit https://ocbccycle.my/
