As you embark on a career after graduation, the process of planning for your future requires thought and intricate preparation. OCBC Deep Reach Programme is an 18-month programme that develops you into future leaders of OCBC.

At OCBC, we are actively involved in your career development and progression. Under OCBC Deep Reach Programme, a mentor will be assigned to you to accompany you through the entire duration of the programme. Your talents and diversity, coupled with our endeavour to grow with you all the way, are all you require for a lasting and successful career with OCBC

What’s On the Table

In the course of OCBC Deep Reach Programme, you will learn what is important to our businesses and networks. You will experience several rotations within the OCBC Group. During this period, you will undergo stints in our businesses that may include front and middle office, support functions and OCBC subsidiaries (including overseas). In addition, you will also undergo 2 weeks of leadership training.

At the end the programme, you will share the learning points and experiences picked up during this journey to the OCBC’s management committee.

Other qualities that stand you in strong consideration for the programme are a first class honours or second class upper degree from reputable universities, less than 2 years of working experience, solid leadership and a penchant for problem solving and new challenges.

Consumer Financial Services

Consumer Financial Services serves almost 600,000 customers in Malaysia.  In this division, we will train you to provide a full range of products and services to individuals, including wealth management products such as unit trusts, bancassurance products and structured deposits; deposit products; consumer loans such as home loans, car loans, personal loans and credit cards; and securities trading.

Business Banking

Business Banking manages corporate relationships for companies ranging from small and medium enterprises to large corporations and institutional clients across diverse industries.  In this division, we will train you to provide a range of financial products and services including bilateral loans, syndication, debt capital market instruments, cash management, trade and payments, and treasury to large corporates, financial institutions, government agencies, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Global Transaction Banking

Global Transaction Banking offers cash management, trade finance and services, and custody/nominee services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large corporates, financial institutions and government agencies. In this division, you will be engaged in offering standard products as well as structured solutions to meet our customers’ business and financial needs.

Global Investment Banking

At Global Investment Banking, we offer a comprehensive suite of financing solutions to help our customers achieve their strategic financial objectives.  In this division, you will be trained to provide capital markets, loan syndication, project and structured finance, corporate finance and mezzanine capital financing to customers in the Asia Pacific region, offering both conventional and Islamic structures. This division works closely with the other business banking units to develop and customise products and services for our corporate customers. Our distinctive value proposition is the ability to offer bespoke and innovative financial solutions and advisory services covering the entire spectrum from debt to equity through one dedicated multi-disciplined team.

Treasury

We aim to be the centre of excellence for Asian financial products. Our market dominance is demonstrated by numerous accolades for product innovation and customer recognition. A can-do attitude and high performance culture has consistently ranked us as one of the best in the region.  In this division, you will be engaged in foreign exchange activities, money market operations, fixed income and derivatives trading and also offer structured treasury products and financial solutions to meet our customers’ investment and hedging needs.

Audit

Audit provides independent assurance that the Bank’s system of risk management, control and governance processes as designed and implemented by Senior Management are adequate and effective.  The work undertaken by audit includes the audit of the Bank’s system of internal controls over its key operations, review of security and access controls of key computer systems, review of control processes within and around new products and review of controls over the monitoring of market, liquidity and credit risks. You will be part of a dynamic team of highly respected audit professionals who are trained with in-depth understanding of the business culture, systems, and processes of the bank. Internal Auditors gain valuable experience from a much broader perspective of the organization as a whole.

OCBC Al-Amin

OCBC Al-Amin offers a full range of banking services that complies with Syariah principles. In this division, we will train you to provide a broad array of competitive and innovative financial products and services to consumers and businesses including wealth management products; deposit products; consumer loans such as cash-i; and large corporate, government agencies, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Human Resources

In this division, you will be developed to be a competent HR professional to help support the Bank’s strategy in attracting, retaining and engaging employees.  The breadth of functions in HR includes Relationship Managers (Business Partners) and Specialists.

Operations & Technology

Operations and Technology (O&T) provides IT & backroom support across the bank's business lines such as Consumer Financial Services, Business Banking, Treasury, Risk Management, Finance, and Human Resources.  In addition, O&T runs the bank’s regional processing centres and technology operations, drive for productivity gains and lower unit costs by instilling a quality culture, and leverage on the synergy from cross border processing hubs in Singapore and Malaysia.

Operations:  

You will be part of a dynamic team that provides transaction processing solutions to support key business units such as Treasury, Trade, Loans, Cards, Payment and Investment in their local and overseas expansion.

Technology:

In this team, you will be involved in crucial functions such as system support, development and project management. You will be part of a team that specialises in IT infrastructure support and solutions, as well as recommending intelligent systems and processes. 

Risk Management

Risk Management oversees the management of credit, market and operational risks for the bank and its financial subsidiaries.  We adopt the best in-class risk management practices to establish a sound risk control framework in order to protect the organisation against losses that could arise from taking risks beyond its risk appetite while enabling the organisation to maximise its risk-adjusted return on capital.  You will be part of the team who looks into the management of credit, market and operational risks for the bank and its subsidiaries.
