Daily Interest Interest is calculated daily and interest is paid :
- On maturity for 1 month to 12 months Fixed Deposit.
- Every 6-monthly for 13 months and above Fixed Deposit.
Earn More The interest that you have earned may be compounded to the principal for automatic renewal or withdrawn. You also have the option of instructing the bank to pay into your Savings / Current Account.
Overdraft facility Should an emergency arise where you need to access your fixed deposit money, you may need to withdraw your Fixed Deposit but stand to lose out on the penalty interest. Is there a better way? Yes, with automatic overdraft facility (Easi-FD Access), you can have quick access to the needed funds. This extraordinary service is available for fixed deposit of at least RM20,000.
Eligibility
Individuals aged 18 years old and above.
Trust accounts can be opened for individuals below 18 years old, in the parent/guardian's name.
Minimum initial deposit of RM5,000 for 1 month placement and minimum RM1,000 for 2 to 60 months placement.
Fees and Charges
Premature Withdrawal
Penalty interest shall apply for any premature Fixed Deposit withdrawal / upliftment:
- No interest before completion of 3 months or
- For fixed deposit with more than 3 months, half of the original contracted rate shall be paid for each completed month only.
