Be cautious of the call you receive; it could be an imposter!

Scammers impersonating as a person of authority or someone you trust will try to convince you to send them money or divulge your banking credentials. Do not be a victim of impersonation scam.
 
WHO COULD BE AN IMPOSTER?
Scammers prey on people’s fears and tend to impersonate the following individuals, telling you that:

e-Commerce Staff
e-Commerce Staff
 
HOW DO THESE IMPOSTERS WORK?
Scammers will contact their targets – unsolicited – via phone, email, SMS, Whatsapp or other social messaging apps.
Scammers will -
•  Ask for personal details, bank account details, digital banking login credentials, One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and more.
Never
reveal any of these details; or
•  Use automated message system to make the claim sound believable. Hang up and do not proceed with the options given.
 
WHAT TO DO IF YOU'VE BEEN SCAMMED?
If you are a victim of scam or if you noticed that your transactions have been rejected or blocked, immediately:
  • Call OCBC Contact Centre and press “8” for Kill Switch; or
  • Walk into the nearest OCBC branch.
 
HOW TO AVOID BECOMING A VICTIM OF IMPERSONATION SCAMS
Do not give in to pressure
Never make financial decisions, give away sensitive details about yourself or anyone you know or sign any documents under pressure.

Ignore, block and report
Do not call any numbers or click on any links provided to you by unknown individuals. Block and report the number used to contact you.
