BOS Wealth Management extending its market reach through strategic tie up with OCBC Malaysia

  • 24 Jul 2024

BOS Wealth Management Malaysia Berhad (BOSWM) is extending the reach of its investment products in Malaysia to the broader market, tapping into the wealth market involving both individuals and enterprises, through a strategic tie up with OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (OCBC Bank).

It is doing so by creating an open architecture investment products platform for Malaysians to tap on.

The partnership will see OCBC Bank distributing the first of these funds beginning this month to provide investors with institutional-quality fixed income opportunities in government bonds, investment-grade, and high-yield corporate bonds.  More funds will be added on in due course.

The move for BOSWM and OCBC Bank – both subsidiaries of Singapore-based OCBC, the region’s second largest financial services group – to collaborate in a developer-distributor partnership underlines the OCBC Group’s “One Group” strategy aimed at bringing a seamless experience to customers by working more cohesively across the Group.

According to En Najmuddin Mohd Lutfi, Chief Executive Officer of BOSWM, the investment management firm is committed to prioritising the unique needs of OCBC Bank’s wealth management efforts by offering investment solutions to meet their clients’ wealth goals.

“BOSWM’s open architecture product platform offers access to a wide range of sustainability and Shariah-compliant investment choices for individuals and corporations. We are confident OCBC Malaysia’s customers will warm up to what we have to offer,” he said.

Commenting on the partnership, Ms Anne Leh, Managing Director & Head of Consumer Financial Services, OCBC Bank, said the Bank is excited about collaborating with BOSWM.

“This partnership goes well beyond a developer-distributor arrangement. It is the epitome of seamlessness where two related entities come together to make sustainable investments easily accessible to a far wider pool of people than would otherwise be possible. We believe our customers will quickly warm up to the innovative investment solutions that we are confident will meet their evolving needs,” she said.

The selected BOSWM funds can be accessed through OCBC Malaysia’s branch network.
