Export Credit Refinancing

Export Credit Refinancing (ECR) is a short term trade financing scheme administered by Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (Exim Bank). It provides pre and post shipments financing to direct/indirect exporters, via the commercial banks at competitive interest rates.

Next Steps : 
  The objectives of the ECR scheme are to:
 Promote the export of manufactured products, agricultural products and selected primary commodities that have significant value-added and utilize local content resources.
 Provide exporters with ready access to credit facilities at competitive interest rates.
 Develop backward linkages in export-oriented industries.
  Why OCBC Bank?
 Your ECR loan application will be processed within the same day if your application is received by OCBC Bank's Business Banking Service Desk before 12:00noon from Monday to Friday*, thus allowing you more time to finalize your financing requirements.
 For post-shipment financing where you are channeling the export documents through OCBC Bank for collection, you will find filling our softcopy Documentary Collection/Negotiation Form and Bills of Exchange a breeze and pleasant experience.
  How do you obtain ECR facility from OCBC Bank?
 For direct exporter, please establish your eligibility by ensuring that your products are not listed in the First Schedule of the Custom Duties Order (goods cannot be exported).
 For indirect exporter, please establish your eligibility by ensuring that your buyers are Direct Exporters, Exporters in Free Trade Zone or Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse.
