Business Enterprise based on the definition of SMEs*
Maximum shareholders' fund of not exceeding RM2.0 million
Shareholding by Public Listed and Government Link Companies (if any) should not exceed 20%
Malaysian residing in Malaysia and owned minimum 51% shareholding incorporated under the Companies Act 1965, the Co-operative Societies Act 1993, the Societies Act 1966, registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia or any other authoritative bodies
Not more than 7 years in operation. Discretion is given to Banks to consider SMEs with more than 7 years in operation provided average net profit is marginal over the last 3 years
Interest rate of up to 6% (subject to changes by Bank Negara Malaysia)
Loan facility from RM50,000 to RM5.0 million
Facility could be in the form of term loan and/or overdraft
Maximum tenure of five (5) years
Not to be used for refinancing of existing facilities, purchase of shares, land, properties, investment holding company, activities stock in trade is money (including credit, leasing, factory and insurance businesses), non economic or non healty activities
Guarantee cover by CGC could also be arranged for qualified application
