- DEFINITIONS
1.1 ‘Credit Card’ means any Visa Card or MasterCard or any other card issued by the Bank from time to time to a Cardmember.
1.2 ‘Credit Card Account’ means the account of the Cardmember maintatined with the Bank in relation to the Card.
1.3‘Cardmember’ means a basic or supplementary Cardmember of the Card (except Cardmembers whose account has been suspended or terminated).
1.4‘Dial-A-Cash’ means a cash advance service made available by the Bank whereby a Cardmember may request for cash advance from his/her Credit Card Account upon the terms set out herein.
- REQUEST FOR ‘DIAL-A-CASH’
2.1 The ‘Dial-A-Cash’ service is made available to all Cardmembers with a valid OCBC Savings/Current account. The Cardmember may draw up to 100% of the available balance in his/her Credit Card Account subject to the approval of the Bank.
2.2 The Cardmember may request for cash advance through ‘Dial-A-Cash’ in any of the following ways:
i) Phone PhoneBank - 1300 88 5000 or
ii) Completing in full the ‘Dial-A-Cash’ prescribed request form and returning it via fax to Credit Card Centre, OCBC Bank ( Malaysia ) Berhad at 03-2694 4535.
The approval of any request for cash advance will be subject to the available balance in the Credit Card Account at the time of application and at the Bank’s absolute discretion. The Cardmember may make more than one request for cash advance through ‘Dial-ACash’ subject to these conditions. The amount advanced will be credited into the Cardmember’s personal or joint savings or current account maintained with the Bank.
2.3 The Bank may reject any request without assigning any reason for the same and will not entertain any request/instruction to cancel any prior request submitted for cash advance.
2.4 The minimum amount for each cash advance is RM 500 . The Bank reserves the right to vary the minimum amount at any time and from time to time without prior notice to the Cardmember.
2.5 A service fee of 5% or RM15 , whichever is higher or such other rate as the Bank may determined in its absolute discretion will be charged on the amount advanced for each request. The interest at the rate of 18% per annum or such other rate as may be determined by the Bank at its absolute discretion at any time and from time to time will be calculated on a daily basis on the amount advanced.
2.6 The cash advanced, service fee and interest shall be billed to the Cardmember’s next statement date following the Bank’s approval of the Cardmember’s request.
- GENERAL TERMS
3.1 The Bank shall be entitled to treat all requests and instructions, whether oral, in writing or electronic, which are purportedly given to the Bank by the Cardmember through ‘Dial-ACash’ as the requests and instructions from such Cardmember. However, the Bank shall not be responsible for any fax request not received, lost, damaged or delayed in transit.
3.2 The Bank’s decision on all matters relating to or in connection with OCBC ‘Dial-A-Cash’ shall be final and binding on the Cardmember.
3.3 The Bank shall have the absolute discretion to use agents, contractors or correspondents or other third parties to administer and/or implement OCBC ‘Dial-A-Cash’ service and the Bank shall be entitled to disclose information of the Cardmember to such persons for this purpose.
3.4 The Bank may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, modify these Terms and Conditions, vary, suspend or terminate OCBC ‘Dial-A-Cash’ in such manner as the Bank considers fit.
3.5 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the Cardmember hereby submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
3.6 The terms in the Cardmember’s Agreement shall continue to apply to the use of the Credit Card. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and those in the Cardmember’s Agreement, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in so far as it applies to this ‘Dial-A-Cash’ service. In the event of any conflict, discrepancy or inconsistency in the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions in any language, the English version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
