ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Get your career off to a flying start at OCBC with our Graduate Talent Programme (GTP). Built specifically for outstanding graduates of all disciplines, the 24-month multi award winning training programme prepares you for success as a future leader with the longest established Singapore based bank.

 

Your learning journey begins with extensive classroom training in technical and interpersonal skills, before moving on to a branch attachment, job rotations, project assignments before choosing   a home department which matches your interests with the Bank’s needs. You will not voyage alone on this journey. Be mentored and coached professionally by experienced experts who will help unleash your potential to succeed in this fast-paced and demanding career. We expect you to be constantly hungry to learn and develop a wide range of skills, have a passion for problem solving and the enthusiasm to tackle complex challenges.

Structured On-Boarding Experience

Kick start your career with our carefully designed 24-month structured programme to equip you for a division-specific role in the Bank.

Structured Corporate Training

A rock-solid foundation of domain expertise will help you master key concepts about what we do and how the industry works. Expect to learn about things like OCBC products, financial markets and regulations, Service design and transformation, Ethics, and Presentation skills.

Branch Attachments in Malaysia

Temporary attachments to our local branches expose you to the day-to-day operations at our branches and will broaden your understanding of the bank and the industry, which helps to build the cornerstone to a strong banking foundation.

Corporate and Divisional Rotations

Personalised rotations around OCBC’s core businesses, like Branch Banking, Compliance, and Operations, will give you a robust, broad-based understanding of our business. From there you’ll start to find your interests and expertise.

Personalised Mentoring

Learn, grow, and develop with dedicated mentoring from our senior management team. Develop your leadership potential through tailored coaching and guidance from some of the most talented coaching and guidance from some of the most talented people working in banking today.

Graduate Talent Regional Week

Build your peer network with colleagues across our regions and subsidiaries. Through this week-long programme of learning, innovation, and business case building, you’ll be exposed to the wider world of OCBC Bank.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Passionate go-getters with high levels of motivation and drive looking to pursue a career in the banking industry.

  • Other qualities that put you in a strong standing for the programme include:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of 3.0 or above, or second class upper in any discipline.

    • Not more than 2 years’ working experience.

    • Good command of English (spoken and written).

    • Stellar extra-curricular achievements, with model leadership and a penchant for problem-solving and new challenges.

    • Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

    • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with a self-driven nature.

    • Malaysian citizen.

Selection Process

Applications are open December 2023 – January 2024. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
